Targeted Learning Outcomes

Domain: 1c

Targeted learning outcomes for each subject were displayed on the board. Collaboratively, an image for the goal of each lesson was designed.

Red Activities

Domains: 1b, 1c

Picture
Red activities were fine motor activities designed for students. The activities gave students an opportunity to bring their energy levels down after recess - a gross motor activity. Students participated in these activities daily for 10-15 minutes after lunch and recess. 

Online Resources

Domains: 1a, 1b, 1d
Technology was used to engage students in conversations and to deepen their learning.

Domains: 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e and 1f.

Lesson plans for Developmental Kindergarten were adjusted as the year progressed due to changes in expectations/student needs. Activities at the beginning of the year were more watered down as opposed to the end of the year. 

Thinking Routines

Domain: 1e
Picture
Students participated in a weekly thinking routine to deepen their thinking. Other thinking stems were also used on a daily basis to encourage deeper thinking as well.

Technology

Domains: 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f
Technology was used in the classroom to further student learning on topics. It was also used as a progress monitoring tool to see student growth.
