Areas of Coaching

Reading

During our reading coaching, we will focus on the are your child needs assistance with. Each child will be assessed and hands on strategies will be provided to help your child develop specific skills. For reading it could be comprehension, phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency and vocabulary. 

Writing 

Our focus for children during our writing sessions is to help them develop as a writer. Some other areas we may cover are topics for papers, strategies to help them organize their thoughts and pre-writing strategies.

Math

We will work with your child to help them develop confidence in math. We believe that by building a strong foundation in math facts, it will help your child in all areas of mathematics. However, our time with your child will not only focus on basic math facts but also areas in math where they can grow. 

Homeschooling

Enlightened Corner can assist in the process of homeschooling by providing one on one coaching for your child. We can also help you develop progress monitoring tools and offer suggestions for teaching. Our time with your child will not replace the work you and your child need to do at home, however, we will help the process. 

Technology

In the area of technology, we work with ALL ages. It doesn't matter how old or young you are, we can help you figure out your smart phone or  Microsoft Word - just to name a few! We are here to provide you with assistance on whatever area of technology you need.

STEM

We are branching out into STEM and encouraging students in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. If you are interested in having your child participate in this learning area, please contact us and we will set you up with a learning coach.
